About The Position

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position is responsible for leading procurement activities associated with capital expenditure projects while also supporting indirect spending categories and procurement requirements. This position serves as the primary procurement lead for high-value capital investments including manufacturing equipment, automation systems, robotics, facility expansions, infrastructure improvements, construction projects, utilities, and other strategic business investments. The role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company purchasing policies. In addition to Capital Expenditure projects, the position manages selected indirect categories, negotiates supplier agreements, administer contracts, and drives continuous cost, quality, and operational improvements throughout the supply base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, project purchasing, or capital project procurement experience.
  • Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements and supplier contracts.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and supplier relationships.
  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution for major CapEx projects.
  • Manage procurement activities for: Manufacturing equipment, Automation and robotics, Tooling and production systems, Facility construction and expansion projects, Building infrastructure improvements, Utilities and energy projects, Material handling systems, Technology and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Finance to develop sourcing strategies that support long-term business objectives.
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership, lifecycle costs, ROI, and risk associated with capital investments.
  • Lead competitive bid processes including RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract awards.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment schedules, warranties, service agreements, and long-term support contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance, project milestones, budget adherence, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities for capital projects.
  • Support annual capital planning and budgeting activities.
