About The Position
An independent Doctor of Optometry operates a private practice next to a Luxottica-operated optical dispensary, providing high-quality optometric care and services to patients. The optometrist determines the professional fee schedule and keeps the associated revenue for professional services delivered. The practice offers complete professional autonomy, with no company-imposed restrictions, interference, or quotas; the scope of practice is directed by the optometrist. Practice arrangements and schedules are flexible, including part-time commitments and the option to add the practice to an existing schedule. The rent agreement includes a furnished office and well-equipped exam lane(s), as well as an online appointment book and patient recall system. The independent practice model offers entry into practice with minimal financial risk or obligations, and brand-supplied onboarding support is available from the first exam. Luxottica handles dispensary business concerns so the optometrist can focus on patient care. Affiliated optometrists are also eligible to participate in OneSight’s global vision-care mission.
