About The Position

As a Jostens Independent Sales Representative (1099), you are highly motivated and interested in building your own business. You are entrepreneurial in nature and want more out of life than just a job. This field-based position covers the Boston, MA territory and requires up to 70% travel. While this position is remote, you must reside in your assigned territory. Jostens leads the student commemoration market and has been serving local communities for over 125 years, working with thousands of K-12 schools, colleges and universities each year, and partnering with beloved sports teams and esteemed organizations. Our iconic products keep meaningful traditions alive and inspire millions to celebrate their unique stories, milestone moments and biggest accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Passion. Contribute to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  • Sales Skills. Relevant and proven sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C).
  • Highly Disciplined & Self-Motivated. Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success and development.
  • Relationship Management. Demonstrated success developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through great customer focus.
  • Technical Skills. Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Great Communication Skills. You enjoy acting as a true business partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
  • Flexibility. Regional/territory and national travel required (percentage varies dependent on territory location and demographics).
  • Experience. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience.
  • Must reside in your assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Gain market share through customer and prospect development.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and work effectively with school administrations, organizations and their advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise school administration on products and services offered by Jostens.
  • Comply with all applicable laws associated with the services performed for Jostens.
  • Maintain an independent business office.
  • Responsible for all business expenses, including but not limited to travel to facilitate sale.
  • Hiring, retaining, and compensating an office and sales staff as needed.
  • Represent the Jostens brand and shared values of accountability to customers, unwavering integrity, responsibility and respect for those we serve.
