About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Independent Living Dorm Supervisor who is reliable, compassionate, has an honorable work ethic, and loves to work with youth! The ILS plans, organizes, and supervises assigned shifts. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees will perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

Basic understanding of management practices; proven ability to lead and support a team
Working knowledge of behavior management techniques
Strong Customer Service Skills
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of disadvantaged youth
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to meet frequent deadlines and handle stressful, hectic situations without loss of efficiency and composure
Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Bachelor's Degree required.
One year of experience working with youth and in a supervisory capacity.
Must possess a Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, training, assessments, and leadership for assigned staff
Screen, Interview, and select candidates for hire
Participate in Student Behavior Management Panels
Complete all documentation requirements for center information systems and folders
Order supplies and equipment as needed
Coordinate and collaborate with recreation and other Staff to provide ongoing student events
Meet with Counselors, Instructors, and Student Human Resource Officers to discuss student performance and progress
Plan, organize, and control the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with center and ETR policies and procedures
