About The Position

Project Genesis, Inc. is seeking compassionate and reliable Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) to join their Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) team. The role involves working one-on-one with individuals to help them rebuild life skills, gain confidence, and live more independently. This is a position within a mission-driven nonprofit organization that values its team.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
  • Verifiable Experience with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI): 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, OR 1 year with a bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
  • Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client’s personalized service plan.
  • Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress.
  • Be a positive, steady presence as clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.
