About The Position
Mercury Critical Courier LLC. is seeking professional, quality focused, independent contractors / owner operators in the Boston area. Mercury is the gold standard in healthcare logistics, where every delivery ensures vital care reaches its destination in time to make the difference. We coordinate healthcare logistics; you run your independent courier business. Together, we save lives.
Requirements
- 21+ years old
- Clean driving record (3+ years)
- TSA Certification (training available once contracted)
- Provide EIN#
- Provide Driver’s License
- Provide DOT # (if your vehicle is over 10K; no vehicles over 26K)
- Provide Vehicle Registration
- Provide Headshot Photo
- Provide Front, Side, and Rear Vehicle Photo
- Provide Proof of Insurance
- Provide Worker’s Compensation or Occupational Accident per state statute or $1MM Occ/Acc
- Provide Auto - $100K/$300K per occurrence
- Mercury Critical Couriers listed on COI as Additionally Insured -or- While Under Dispatch insurance is offered
Nice To Haves
- 2016+ white van
- Dangerous Goods Class A or B certification
Responsibilities
- Scan, secure and deliver parcels within committed time windows.
- Update POD in our smartphone app; no paperwork.
- Operate as independent business entity (LLC/Corp pref.)
- Provide vehicle in excellent mechanical condition (preference: 2016+ white van, but not required)
- Use Android/iOS phone w/ data
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Clear background / 10-panel drug screening and MVR check required by certain shippers
