DSP - Independent Contractor in Monroe (AL)
About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work as an Independent Contractor providing Day Support Services for a female individual with developmental disabilities in the Union County area of Monroe, NC. This role involves approximately 12 hours per week, specifically on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm. The DSP will provide companionship, care, and support to help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles, facilitate community integration, develop healthy social habits, dispense medication, and transport the individual to various activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
