About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide companionship, care, and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This specific role is for an Independent Contractor to provide Day Support Services for a female individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Monroe, NC. The services will be provided two days per week, approximately 12 hours per week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm. The pay rate for Day Support Services is $22.52/hr.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
