About The Position

Income Tax Manager- U.S. Federal and State We are seeking an Income Tax Manager to lead U.S. federal, state, and local income tax provision and compliance processes. This role partners closely with the business, external advisors, and taxing authorities, and plays a key role in supporting tax planning, audits, and critical initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state income tax requirements while providing insightful analysis that supports informed decision-making, risk management, and clear communication with internal and external partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Tax required; CPA license strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in federal and multi-state income tax compliance and reporting.
  • 4+ years of ASC 740 experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, strategize, and solve problems amidst ambiguity.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BNA or similar tax research libraries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with international tax concepts is a plus, particularly in a multinational environment, though not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead U.S. federal, state, and local income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740, including FIN 48 analysis and documentation.
  • Maintain and reconcile deferred tax balances and current income tax expense, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial reporting.
  • Oversee the gathering, analysis, and optimization of financial data to support tax provision and compliance processes, driving efficiency and strong controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance tax reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Review federal, state, and local income tax compliance workpapers and returns for multiple legal entities, including consolidated corporate and partnership filings.
