About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Income Tax Lead on a permanent full-time basis within our Finance team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK. Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive corporate income tax experience, including tax compliance, tax provision, and financial reporting within a complex, multi-entity organization.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• A Professional tax designation or advanced tax education, such as CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Program (completed or in progress), is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead FCL's corporate income tax function, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, tax provisions, and compliance across FCL’s operations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions, IFRS tax disclosures, future income tax calculations, and supporting documentation for financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Provide strategic tax advice on capital projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and corporate transactions to optimize tax outcomes and support informed business decisions.
• Manage income tax audits, CRA reviews, and tax-related correspondence while developing practical solutions and representing FCL's interests.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, strengthen internal controls, and leverage technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.
• Partner with Finance teams across the organization to integrate income tax considerations into budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and other key financial initiatives.
