Income Maintenance Caseworker II
About The Position
The Person County Department of Social Services is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Income Maintenance Caseworker II to join our team in the Income Maintenance Program. This position will be assigned to either the Medicaid or Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Unit and plays a vital role in helping individuals and families access essential public assistance programs that support their health, well-being, and financial stability. As an Income Maintenance Caseworker II, you will work directly with applicants and recipients to determine eligibility for Medicaid or Food & Nutrition Services in accordance with federal, state, and county policies and regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
Requirements
- One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or as an Eligibility Specialist.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per County policy.
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US within 3 days of employment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
