Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of progressive experience in State Income Tax compliance
- CPA preferred or demonstrated progress toward CPA
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and Microsoft Excel skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review State Income and Franchise Tax returns.
- Perform tax research and prepare technical memos and client correspondence.
- Support multi-state tax compliance and consulting projects.
- Assist with tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
- Review tax returns for accuracy and identify tax savings opportunities.
- Work with clients and internal teams on various SALT matters.
- Train and mentor junior staff as needed.
