About The Position

The Inclusion Support Specialist encourages clients’ personal growth through goal-based support and provides daily living assistance to KIM clients in their homes and in the community. The role motivates and encourages clients to work toward their goals in accordance with the Residential Service Guidelines. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with the shift to be determined. The listed salary range is $17.50–$19.00.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Intermediate experience supporting independent living; experience with adults with developmental or other disabilities is preferred.
Minimum age of 18 years.
Clear a criminal background check before working alone and unsupervised with clients.
Valid driver’s license or State ID.
Ability to follow instructions, organize, and set priorities.
Strong communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension.
Ability to engage in critical thinking.

Responsibilities

Help clients use emotional and behavioral regulation techniques outlined in their individual plans.
Support clients in achieving personal and program goals and evaluate goal completion and denials.
Assist clients with money management, including petty cash, receipts, checkbooks, and EBTs.
Assist clients with daily hygiene and personal care as specified in individual care plans, including brushing teeth, bathing, hair washing, and toileting.
Administer medications correctly, document medication activity, and perform nurse-delegated tasks.
Transport clients to and from activities and appointments, or arrange transportation services as appropriate.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly forms, reports, and data sheets.
Supervise clients’ daily activities and living conditions to support their health and safety.
Assist clients with cooking, eating meals, and grocery shopping.
