About The Position

The Inclusion & Diversity Ambassador partners with business and human resources leaders to strengthen Kraus-Anderson’s culture of belonging, collaboration, and opportunity. This role advances inclusive business practices, workforce development strategies, and community partnerships that support employee engagement, talent attraction, and long-term business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with five (5)+ years of experience in Human Resources, organizational development, training, workforce engagement, or inclusion-focused programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect culture, inclusion, and workforce initiatives to measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of operational environments such as construction, real estate, or professional services organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted partnerships across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both field and corporate teams.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and excellence.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, practical approach to implementation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard business technologies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to company values, ethical conduct, and fostering a respectful and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate organizational needs and recommend inclusion, engagement, and cultural initiatives aligned with Kraus-Anderson’s business strategy, workforce priorities, and values.
  • In partnership with Kraus-Anderson University (KAU), design and deliver learning experiences that enhance inclusive leadership capabilities, cultural awareness, and effective collaboration across diverse teams (e.g., Courageous Conversations, facilitated dialogues, leadership sessions).
  • Partner with Human Resources and business leaders to assess policies, practices, and employee lifecycle processes to promote equitable and inclusive outcomes; recommend and help implement improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent Acquisition to expand and strengthen diverse talent pipelines through industry partnerships, workforce development initiatives, and community engagement aligned with construction, real estate, and insurance talent needs.
  • Support leaders and employees through programming that enhances inclusive leadership practices, cross-functional collaboration, and awareness of differing work styles, backgrounds, and career pathways.
  • Monitor external trends, industry benchmarks, and emerging best practices related to workplace culture, inclusion, and workforce development; recommend innovative initiatives that differentiate Kraus-Anderson as an employer of choice.
  • Serve as a company ambassador by building relationships with industry, educational, and community organizations and representing Kraus-Anderson at relevant events, including workforce development and supplier diversity initiatives (e.g., AWC/WIC Week, Concerned Builders, CPP, SADBOC, SAIOC, MAICC, supplier diversity forums).
  • Partner with operational and business development teams to support inclusion-related messaging in project pursuits, interviews, and proposal responses where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to strengthen Kraus-Anderson’s internal and external reputation as an inclusive and values-driven organization through storytelling, communications, and digital content.
  • Foster employee participation and engagement in cultural and community initiatives that reinforce company values and strengthen organizational connection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
