About The Position

American Stone is hiring a full-time Inside Sales team member to support contractors, landscapers, builders, and retail customers through inbound sales, order processing, and customer relationship management. This position focuses on helping customers select materials, processing orders accurately, coordinating with yard and operations teams, and identifying upsell opportunities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a construction, landscaping, or building materials environment and enjoys working directly with contractors, homeowners, and project-based customers. Candidates with experience in construction materials, landscaping, masonry, tools, outdoor products, or related industries are strongly preferred. This is a primarily on-site role. Candidates must be local and available during business hours, including Saturdays when needed.

Requirements

  • Previous customer-facing, sales, retail, contractor support, or service-related experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction, operational, or warehouse-related environment
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to multitask
  • Intermediate computer skills (email, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, data entry, order processing)
  • Ability to work primarily on-site and occasionally assist with light physical tasks
  • Valid driver's license
  • Availability to work business hours, including Saturdays when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction materials, landscaping, masonry, outdoor products, tools, or related industries
  • Previous inside sales, contractor sales, or customer-facing experience
  • Comfortable working with contractors and project-based customers
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, trailers, tools, or job site environments
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist contractors, landscapers, homeowners, and retail customers with product selection and order support
  • Respond to inbound calls, walk-in traffic, and customer inquiries
  • Build long-term customer relationships and support repeat business
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently
  • Recommend products and identify upsell opportunities
  • Coordinate with yard and operations teams to fulfill orders
  • Maintain organized customer records and sales information
  • Support daily showroom and sales operations
  • Meet or exceed sales and customer service goals
