ON A TYPICAL DAY YOU’LL Answer Pilot's inbound phone line, responding to inquiries promptly and professionally, routing calls to the appropriate teams, and ensuring no lead or customer request goes unanswered Respond to all inbound inquiries across phone, email, and web with a sense of urgency and a high standard of professionalism, setting the tone for the customer experience from the very first touchpoint Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Pilot's services, and competitive positioning to provide accurate and consultative guidance to prospective customers Engage in the consultative sales process: field and engage in real-time sales calls, hold effective scheduled calls/meetings, and manage follow-up communication Nurture a well-organized pipeline of prospects, keeping all opportunity stages, notes, and next steps meticulously up to date in required sales tools Forecast pipeline accurately and consistently, with a clear line of sight into close timelines and opportunity health Maintain rigorous data hygiene and documentation across Pilot's sales tools, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and actionable at all times Collaborate cross-functionally with the other teams to meet customer timelines and deliver a seamless sales and handoff experience Remain current on product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings to remain a credible and knowledgeable resource for customers Execute against all administrative tasks associated with converting a prospect to a customer

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • 1+ year in a sales development, inbound sales, full-cycle, or related sales role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to engage, listen actively, and tailor conversations to the customer's needs
  • Sharp attention to detail and a high level of organization, able to manage multiple open opportunities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while knowing when to collaborate and escalate appropriately
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to independently prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a persistent follow-up cadence without being prompted
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and importance, coupled with a persistent follow-up strategy to guarantee successful outcomes
  • A customer-first mindset; goes above and beyond to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression and every customer feels taken care of
  • High level of professionalism and empathy across all customer touchpoints, from first inquiry through close
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to consistently meet and exceed sales targets
