We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success – and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Directly lead logistics and warehouse employees involved in inbound receiving, outbound shipping, loading, unloading, staging, and material movement. Responsibilities include training, assigning work, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and conducting performance reviews. Oversee daily loading and dock operations to ensure inbound materials are received accurately and on time, and outbound shipments depart according to schedule, customer requirements, and carrier appointments. Utilize daily management tools—such as process center communication boards or dock activity dashboards—to review staffing, monitor KPIs, communicate priorities, and drive accountability. Serve as a change agent within the logistics operation by identifying process inefficiencies and applying Lean principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and optimize dock utilization. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment with a strong focus on hazard prevention, equipment safety, safe forklift operation, and adherence to nVent’s safety standards and programs. Review and approve weekly payroll hours for team members, entering exceptions and ensuring accurate labor reporting. Support implementation of new processes, warehouse systems, or layout changes that enhance inbound/outbound accuracy, speed, and efficiency. Lead and participate in logistics improvement initiatives related to dock scheduling, loading quality, carrier performance, and overall warehouse productivity.
