About The Position

Easy Pay Direct is seeking a sharp, proactive Sales Development Representative to be the first point of contact for prospective merchants, guiding them from initial interest through account approval. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy sales, act with urgency, and are passionate about helping business owners solve problems. The company specializes in helping legitimate businesses, often turned away by traditional payment processors, get approved to accept payments and continue growing. This is a full-time, in-person role located in East Austin, TX.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a B2B Sales Representative or in an inbound/outbound client onboarding role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and persistent follow-up
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and guide merchants through a structured sales process

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in merchant services, fintech, financial services, or payment processing
  • Experience working with high-risk merchant accounts
  • Experience using HubSpot or another CRM
  • Experience reviewing financial documents or supporting underwriting
  • Experience identifying fraud or compliance concerns

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound leads within minutes.
  • Prospect and follow up with merchants.
  • Call, text, and email prospective business owners.
  • Collect documentation and move applications toward approval.
  • Work with internal teams to keep deals moving with underwriters.
  • Manage pipeline and activity in HubSpot.
  • Connect with merchants, guide them through the sales and onboarding process, and get them approved quickly.
  • Build trust and keep every opportunity moving forward.
  • Set expectations, answer questions, collect documentation, secure electronic signatures, and prepare complete applications for underwriting.
  • Review bank statements, government-issued IDs, business documentation, and processing history to identify potential red flags.
  • Maintain meticulous records in HubSpot.
