About The Position

The Inbound Forklift Operator operates and maintains equipment associated with warehouse activity and performs other related duties as required. The role controls the flow of products being received into the warehouse. This position is with Sysco Hawaii in ZIP code 96819, with no travel indicated. Compensation is $22.00; the actual rate may depend on skills, years of experience, and other factors. The employee may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive Plan.

Requirements

Two years of warehouse experience.
Pass mandatory ergonomics testing.
Working knowledge of Sysco safety and security policies, warehouse equipment, and equipment operation.
Ability to disseminate numerical data.
Ability to manage work time efficiently and follow procedures and policies.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and identify and solve problems.
Ability to manage deadline-related pressure and stress.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as tugs, forklifts, and pallet jacks according to applicable rules and practices to reduce accidents and injuries.
Keep assigned equipment maintained and clean, and report repair or service needs to the manager.
Observe safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies.
Use equipment horns when driving out of storage areas, into areas with obstructed views, and when entering walkways or row intersections.
Plug equipment into a power source when it is not in use.
Control the flow of products being received into the warehouse.
