About The Position

The Forklift Operator works in an inbound warehouse role, receiving and handling products, maintaining accurate inventory, and keeping the facility organized and secure. The position involves operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks, receiving and unloading trucks according to purchase order requirements, and properly storing and handling products. The role requires working in cold temperatures and meeting physical demands that include lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently to perform job tasks, including reading labels, pick lists, scanner displays and signage; communicating with coworkers and the public; understanding instructions; and completing shipping papers, reports, and records accurately.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment configurations, including various forklifts and handheld scanners, after training.
• Use good judgment to operate forklifts safely and lawfully, handle customer products safely and efficiently, and communicate tactfully and diplomatically.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk throughout the day; repeatedly twist at the torso while lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory from shelves; and regularly lift 20 to 100 pounds.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CK31 and CK71 scanners.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Inspect received products for damage.
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean.
• Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Pick point-of-sale orders for customers picking up products.
• Rotate stock.
• Receive trucks promptly and accurately; load and unload tractor-trailer trucks according to purchase order requirements.
• Scan products and place labels according to requirements.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventories.
• Maintain the facility through housekeeping, securing products and the facility, and maintaining facility assets.
• Slot products accurately and promptly in the rack system.
