About The Position

A Customer Service-Oriented Inbound Call Center Representative to support taxpayers in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling inbound calls, addressing tax-related inquiries, and providing accurate and timely assistance while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or professional setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze, research, and resolve customer inquiries
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience handling tax-related inquiries or knowledge of tax regulations
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service by handling inbound calls in a high-volume call center environment
  • Assist taxpayers with inquiries related to tax filing, payments, and procedures
  • Apply training knowledge and available resources to research and resolve issues effectively
  • Navigate internal systems and databases using basic computer skills
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with proper grammar, spelling, and tone
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality requirements
  • Handle challenging customer interactions with patience and professionalism
