About The Position

The Call Center Rep is responsible for welcoming and greeting all patients and visitors over the phone. This role involves answering phone calls while maintaining a polite and consistent phone manner, using proper telephone etiquette. The representative will also be responsible for keeping the call center area clean, organized, and professional. Key duties include registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics by collecting necessary information via phone, and facilitating a positive patient experience by obtaining appropriate scheduling information (insurance eligibility, referrals, medical records, etc.) while adhering to provider scheduling guidelines. The role also requires maintaining proper patient records to ensure treatment information is available, responding courteously to inquiries, generating telephone encounters, and directing calls to the appropriate staff with sufficient detail. Teamwork is essential, including assisting with other tasks during downtime. Protecting patient confidentiality by ensuring protected health information is secured is a critical aspect of this position.

  • Generates telephone encounters and directs phone calls to appropriate staff with the appropriate amount of detail.
  • Acts as a team player and assists with other tasks during downtime.
  • Protects patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured.
