About The Position

Join our Bend team and help ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of life-changing medicines. This role offers the opportunity to provide real-time quality oversight of manufacturing operations in a highly collaborative environment. Lonza has an opening for an IPQA (In-Process Quality Assurance) Specialist to join our Quality team in Bend, Oregon. In this role, you will provide real-time support to manufacturing operations, helping to maintain product quality, prevent contamination, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and quality systems.
  • Experience reviewing manufacturing documentation and supporting quality compliance activities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or business systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across functions.
  • Ability to work on-site and follow cleanroom gowning and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor manufacturing and packaging activities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Review batch records and production documentation to identify issues and support right-first-time execution.
  • Identify quality events and support investigations, impact assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Perform line clearances and verify manufacturing and packaging readiness.
  • Support material receipt, weighing, and dispensing activities from a quality perspective.
  • Partner with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Help maintain a compliant, safe, and inspection-ready manufacturing environment.
