About The Position

This role provides support and assistance with the analysis and evaluation of procedures, processes, records, risks, and related controls for sufficiency and effectiveness. Areas of focus include pipeline safety, occupational safety, environmental, and other areas relevant to key company processes, activities, and assets. This is not an IT or Manufacturing QA role. The position involves managing, scheduling, and assisting/conducting panel discussions/interviews with internal stakeholders, documenting and distributing tracking reports to Quality Assurance management, and collecting and tracking data for assessments. The specialist will assist in identifying potential or actual gaps and work with the Quality Assurance Team and internal stakeholders on the process for timely completion of assessments, drafting and monitoring continuous improvement plans (CIP) from inception to completion. Additionally, the role supports the Quality Assurance Team in preparing for regulatory agency inspections and compliance activities related to 49 CFR 190-199 and state-specific pipeline safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or a related field and three years quality assurance or industry related experience in operations or regulatory compliance; OR a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years quality assurance or industry related experience in operations or regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interact and work with multiple departments across the enterprise, as well as external stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret federal and state regulations as it relates to enterprise procedures and processes.
• Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
• Requires an advanced knowledge of various software applications for creating complex documents, reports, and graphics.

Nice To Haves

• Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects and tracks data as appropriate to assessments being conducted.
