About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian for the Tri Valley, CA area, including Fremont, Union City, Newark, Pleasanton, San Jose, Milpitas, and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. As a mobile veterinarian, you will practice with purpose, enjoy a balanced life, and be part of a supportive community of over 400 veterinarians and professionals. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and providing deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling end-of-life care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with families.
