About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Hartford, New Haven, Bristol, Southington, West Hartford, Wallingford, CT, and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a balanced life, with a supportive community of over 400 veterinarians and professionals. Veterinarian-founded and owned, Lap of Love provides ongoing training, mentorship, and dedicated practice managers to support veterinarians.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
• Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
• Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with families.
