About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable helper to support a male client in his 60s recovering from a stroke. He is currently residing in a nursing facility and is expected to remain there for another 3–4 months. The family is planning ahead and looking for a caregiver who can provide support once he transitions back home. This role is best suited for a helper who understands the challenges of stroke recovery and transitioning home after an extended stay in a nursing facility, and who can provide patient, encouraging, and dependable support with daily activities.
Requirements
- Experience caring for clients recovering from a stroke preferred
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable
- Able to provide respectful support while encouraging independence
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Provide support with daily routines
- Assist with personal care and mobility as needed
- Provide companionship and encouragement
- Help Edward maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Support his transition from the nursing facility back to home
