About The Position

The client can assist partially with tasks but requires hands-on support and consistent companionship. This role is ideal for a helper who is gentle and attentive, with the ability to support a client who has communication challenges and cognitive decline, while maintaining dignity and comfort.

Requirements

• Experience with dementia care preferred
• Patient, calm, and supportive communication style
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility support

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation (client can feed herself)
• Support with toileting and hygiene
• Assist with showering and dressing (client can help somewhat)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Ensure safety and supervision throughout the shift
