About The Position

HomeWell is hiring in-home Caregivers to serve clients in Franklin and Delaware Counties, including Columbus and surrounding suburbs. Caregivers provide non-medical support to clients, helping with companionship, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication reminders, and transportation. The role calls for people who are passionate about caring for others and committed to making clients’ safety and comfort a priority. Caregivers must be able to travel to various client locations. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable experience as a caregiver.
• Reliable transportation, with proof of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to be proactive and work independently.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Compassion, maturity, and empathy.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to bend and lift with ease.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work with pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Prepare light meals and perform light cooking and cleaning.
• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with ambulation and provide medication reminders.
• Transport clients to appointments and on errands.

Benefits

• Competitive pay starting at $17.00 per hour for caregivers with 2 or more years of experience and $18.00 per hour for STNAs; short shifts of 1–3 hours pay $22–$31.25 per hour, respectively.
