About The Position

Caring Solutions San Antonio is seeking In Home Caregivers to provide personal care and assistance to individuals in their homes. Caregivers help with meals and light housekeeping, and offer companionship through conversation, games, and outings. Some clients may need transportation to appointments, errands, or social outings. Clients are located throughout San Antonio. No certification is required.

Day shifts start between 7–8 a.m. and may end between 7–8 p.m. Evening shifts start between 3–5 p.m. and end between 9–10 p.m. Overnight shifts start between 7–9 p.m. and end between 8–9 a.m. The company’s stated purpose is to honor life by making each day count and to help change the culture of dementia care and decrease stigma around dementia and those living with brain failure.

Requirements

• Experience providing in-home caregiving, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and bed-care; certification is not required.
• Experience working with clients who have dementia, such as Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s.
• Valid driver’s license and full-coverage car insurance.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Cell phone or smartphone capable of using an app to clock in and out.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in their own homes.
• Assist clients with meals and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship through conversation, games, and other activities.
• Accompany clients on outings.
• Transport some clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, personal care, and bed-care.
