About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring compassionate, experienced, and reliable caregivers to provide hands-on assistance to clients in their own homes in the NW Portland, Oregon area. The position offers full-time hours and pays $23.00 per hour. Paid eight-hour training is available if needed. Applicants must be over 21 so they can purchase tobacco and alcohol for clients. Caregivers help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and follow each client's Care Plan. Requirements

Must be over 21 years of age.
At least two years of professional caregiving experience is highly preferred.
Ability to lift, move, or assist patients using proper body mechanics.
Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint check.
Ability to communicate effectively with seniors.
Must be reliable and dependable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HCA qualifications.
At least two years of professional caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, incontinence care, and feeding.
Assist clients with instrumental activities of daily living, including shopping, housekeeping, medication management, and meal preparation.
Follow each client's Care Plan.
Communicate proactively, listen to clients, address issues, and help clients feel comfortable.
Provide kind, dependable, professional care while responding to clients’ individual needs and preferences.
