About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring an In Home Caregiver to support elderly and disabled individuals in their homes. Caregivers may work as companions or personal care providers. No prior experience is necessary; training is available upon hire for candidates with compassion and the right mindset. Schedules are flexible and self-determined, based on client availability.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Respectful and compassionate manner.
- Good time-management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and dressing.
- Perform general cleaning and light housekeeping, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning rooms, halls, and bathrooms, and emptying and replacing trash containers.
- Assist clients with eating and provide medication reminders.
- Assist with shopping errands and shop for groceries and household supplies.
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client.
- Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
- Report unusual incidents and respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the home.
