About The Position

Visiting Angels of Hanover, PA is hiring an In Home Caregiver to provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes. The role involves serving clients in Hanover, Spring Grove, New Oxford, Abbottstown, PA, and surrounding areas, and requires travel to client homes. This is a part-time position, with up to full-time hours available depending on flexibility, availability, and demand. Scheduling options include days, evenings, or nights, with weekend wage premiums available for eligible shifts.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Have a positive attitude and a proven record of dependability.
• Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• One year of professional caregiving experience is preferred.
• A CNA license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors at home.
• Give medication reminders.
• Run household errands and provide transportation to medical appointments.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Provide mobility assistance, including help with walking and transfers.
