About The Position

America Works is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide reliable, respectful, one-on-one support for seniors in their homes. The role involves assisting clients with activities of daily living, providing companionship, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The employer welcomes people with CNA I/II certification or relevant family or professional caregiving experience and offers flexible scheduling with dependable hours. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with overtime opportunities and short shifts paying up to $25 per hour. Clients are located in Sykesville, Westminster, Frederick, Annapolis, Catonsville, Ellicott City, Columbia, and surrounding Baltimore-area communities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have at least 6 months of professional caregiving experience, family caregiver experience supporting a loved one, or active CNA I/II certification.
Have a valid driver’s license and an insured personal vehicle in most areas.
Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Have current CPR certification.
Have current negative TB test results.

Nice To Haves

CNA I/II certification is welcomed and preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care, meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and meaningful, respectful conversation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
Demonstrate kindness, professionalism, and reliability on every shift.
Communicate clearly with clients, families, and agency staff.
