About The Position
Home Instead – Klipsch Senior Care is hiring compassionate, dependable in-home caregivers in Bloomington, Indiana. Care Professionals provide personalized care to older adults in their homes, helping them remain independent. Paid training and ongoing support are provided, and prior caregiving experience is not required. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts and flexible scheduling.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.
- Respect seniors and their independence.
- Be comfortable providing personal care.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Be willing to learn; prior caregiving experience is not required.
- Have a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Be able to bend, kneel, reach, and assist clients with everyday activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping.
- Assist with mobility and walking.
- Provide medication and appointment reminders.
- Help with errands, grocery shopping, and appointments.
- Support individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, or receiving hospice care.
- Communicate important updates to the Home Instead office team.
