About The Position

Interim HealthCare of Scranton, PA is hiring In-Home Caregivers / Home Health Aides to serve clients in Lackawanna, Wayne, and/or Luzerne Counties. The role provides personalized, home-based care to help seniors live safely at home, with a 1:1 aide-to-client ratio. Pay is $14–$15 per hour, and a variety of weekday and weekend hours are available across first, second, and third shifts. Caregivers assist with personal care and activities of daily living, help clients with mobility and exercises, provide medication reminders, document client conditions, and support a safe home environment. The work may also include companionship and activities tailored to clients’ interests. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of personal care experience in a similar role.
CPR certification.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and transportation.
Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
Maintain a safe home environment, including unobstructed pathways.
Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
