About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking experienced independent contractors to assemble products purchased through a home improvement retailer’s websites. This 1099 opportunity offers weekly settlements and a flexible schedule. Contractors are paid per completed assembly; stated annual earnings may range from $40,000 to $100,000 or more depending on market, availability, and accepted work volume. Base pay ranges are $48–$210 per furniture item, $48–$160 per patio furniture item, and $48–$80 per grill. AIT is a global transportation company with final-mile and home-delivery experience, including residential delivery, white-glove service, and customer-focused logistics across the United States.
Requirements
- Must have own tools required for assembly work.
- Must have reliable transportation with required insurance coverage.
- Must have a smartphone with internet access.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must have a professional appearance and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in assembly, handyman services, installation, or home improvement is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture, grills, patio sets, and other home improvement products in customers’ homes.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Report job completion through a smartphone app.
- Maintain required insurances.
