Independent Contractor - In-Home Assembly Technician - Fairfax VA
About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking experienced independent contractors to assemble products purchased through a home improvement retailer’s websites in customers’ homes. This 1099 opportunity offers a flexible schedule and weekly settlements. Contractors are paid per completed assembly. Annual earnings may range from $40,000 to $100,000+, depending on market, availability, and accepted work volume. Listed base pay is $48–$210 per furniture item, $48–$160 per patio furniture item, and $48–$80 per grill. AIT is a global transportation company with final-mile and home delivery experience, including residential delivery and white-glove service across the U.S.
Requirements
- Own tools required for assembly work.
- Reliable transportation with required insurance coverage.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Professional appearance and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
