Independent Contractor - In-Home Assembly Technician - Alexandria VA
About The Position
AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking experienced independent contractors to assemble products purchased through a home improvement retailer’s websites. Contractors perform assembly work in customers’ homes and can grow their business while maintaining a flexible schedule. The role is part of the In-Home Assembly Program for online orders and is structured as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with weekly settlements. Annual earnings can range from $40,000 to $100,000 or more, depending on the market, availability, and volume accepted. Base pay per completed item ranges from $48 to $210 for furniture, $48 to $160 for patio furniture, and $48 to $80 for grills. AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global transportation company with final-mile and home-delivery experience, including residential delivery, white-glove service, and customer-focused logistics across the U.S.
Requirements
- Assembly, handyman, installation, or home improvement experience is a plus.
- Own tools required for assembly work.
- Reliable transportation with required insurance coverage.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Professional appearance and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
