About The Position

The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for the oversight of the successful design, validation, planning, management and execution of implementation for complex construction projects. This role provides implementation oversight and relationship management for key business partners, both internal and external, requiring effective coordination, collaboration, and communication. This position directly supports the Sales organization, Hotel and Convention (HCO) organization, Real Estate organization and Field Operations. This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in operations, technology, sales, sales support or customer-facing roles focused on developing existing business relationships
  • Experience working with sales processes, operations, organization/workflow and customer agreements
  • Project management experience required
  • Experience working with MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Up to 70% travel may be required
  • Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members

Responsibilities

  • Meet objectives for the Implementation team as set by the Manager of Real Estate Implementation and prioritized in accordance with company strategy and goals
  • Lead internal and external cross-functional teams in the implementation of complex construction projects, including but not limited to, hotels, universities, corporate campuses, retail centers, stores within stores, or any other new initiative
  • Design solutions for implementations of complex construction projects
  • Plan, manage, execute, and follow-up on implementations, including post-implementation support to Field Operations
  • Coordinate, schedule and lead customer meetings to facilitate projects and maintain superior customer relationships
  • Operate within guidelines as established for service levels, solution development, implementation planning & measurement, issue management, status reports, project completion and ongoing oversight. Adhere to published rules of engagement
  • Build and grow cross-functional relationships within the field and FSO in support of customer solutions design, development, implementation and growth/retention
  • Ensure implementation plans are developed and administered in accordance with established agreements and company policies/procedures. Escalate potential issues, including problems with replication/sustainability
  • Lead coordination of HCO or customer-facing resources, communications, readiness assessment, risk mitigation and transition to operations and/or oversight resource
  • Secure and maintain a strong working knowledge of HCO, Sales and Operations models and processes to ensure alignment in solution design, implementation and post-implementation relationship management
  • Travel, as required, to construction sites to support successful implementation
  • Represent the Real Estate team on various project work streams
  • All other duties as needed or required
