About The Position

Our Implementation Engineer executes the implementation of specific web projects at Nomad. You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of incidents, problems, and projects that arise from building B2B focused eCommerce storefronts. The position will require close working with our implementation, support, and integration teams with a focus on augmenting the technical aspects of our projects. In this role, you’ll be surrounded by an agile team where your work will truly make a difference. You will be responsible for ensuring that new and existing Nomad eCommerce customers receive the highest quality performance and service. At Nomad, we go above and beyond to meet our customer’s needs. Your first few weeks in this role will be a total submersion into our Nomad eCommerce world. Learning Nomad’s tools, processes, getting to know your team, and meeting our customers. We encourage our team to be autonomous, so go ahead, dive in! In the day-to-day of this role, you can expect to be actively engaged with clients, gathering information and requirements. You are the voice of the customer to our team, so communication and documentation are key. At times, it may seem you are designing a customer’s functional requests in blueprint form, knowing that it will become a living, functioning site through all the workflows and communications you laid out for your team - truly impactful! The majority of your time will likely be spent working with customer data while exercising your problem solving skills. Whether it be maintaining customer projects and configurations; mapping or troubling shooting data; or collaborating with your skilled team - your work at Nomad will make a real difference. Implementation Engineers play a critical role in ensuring successful customer launches and long-term platform stability. You’ll work directly with customers, project coordinators, developers, and support teams to configure, troubleshoot, and implement solutions that connect ecommerce operations with real-world business workflows. Your work directly impacts customer experience, system reliability, onboarding success, and the overall effectiveness of each implementation. From ERP integrations and data validation to issue resolution and launch readiness, you’ll help ensure customers can confidently operate and grow on the Nomad platform.

Requirements

Extensive experience interpreting software needs and identifying functionality paths from conversational requirement gathering
Experience building websites on database driven platforms
Experience in writing Javascript based features on websites
Experience using HTML / CSS to accomplish design goals
Experience with MS SQL stored procedures and databases
Basic knowledge of IIS and administrative tasks in IIS
Basic knowledge of DNS
Basic knowledge of ERP systems
Excellent understanding of relational databases and how data structures relate to each other
Capable of being self-motivated and directed in a remote environment
Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
Pragmatic & solution-oriented
Willingness to work with non-technical team members
Willingness to take a consultative approach with customers and our team
