The Impact Analyst is a crucial role in Hamilton Families’ evidence-driven approach to combating family homelessness. Reporting to the Data Systems Administrator, this position will collaborate with the Guaranteed Basic Income (GBI) Committee and external research partners to ensure the success of the GBI initiative. As part of the Data and Impact team, the analyst will also work closely with the Development and Programs teams on various special projects throughout the year. This role is integral to shaping program design, ensuring data quality, and advancing research and analysis to improve outcomes and inform strategic decisions across the organization.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with research design, data collection, and program evaluation methodologies in alignment with data collection guidelines.
  • Passion for analyzing and working with large amounts of data to drive impactful decisions.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a diverse group of people on projects that directly serve our participants with compassion and dignity.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on transforming data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to meet goals across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment and uphold policies and procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience in any of the following (employment services, workforce development, human services, housing services, or youth empowerment).
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish required.
  • A background in working with nonprofit organizations, social services organizations, or community-based programs.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically in Excel, Salesforce, and other software.
  • Ability to travel locally and long distance to meet with vendors and participants.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of the Guaranteed Basic Income initiative, ensuring alignment with study protocols, timelines, and data collection standards.
  • Design and manage participant orientation and consent procedures, ensuring clarity, compliance, and participant understanding in English and Spanish.
  • Collaborate with internal data teams and external research partners to enhance methodologies, data collection accuracy, and quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain and advance data integrity across systems for compliance, reporting, and continuous learning purposes.
  • Synthesize and present findings through written reports, visualizations, and presentations tailored to leadership, funders, and external stakeholders.
  • Administer Wants and Needs program by facilitating participant purchases at the request of Program Coordinators.
  • Present Wants and Needs program spend and required reporting to the development team, in alignment with funders requirements.
  • Identify and implement new data analysis tools and techniques that strengthen organizational decision-making and impact measurement.
  • Partner with program leadership to deliver, collect, and report on participant surveys via analytical dashboards and reports that measure program effectiveness and participant outcomes in Salesforce.
  • Support new initiatives on an as-needed basis.
  • Salesforce data entry, including processing incoming donations in a timely manner while ensuring data quality.
  • Assist with coordinating and staffing fundraising events, including processing gifts into Salesforce and working our annual benefit.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives that promote a culture of data informed practice.
