This semester-long internship is designed for current undergraduate students interested in immigration law, international human rights, or public interest work. Interns gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of an immigration law practice, focusing on humanitarian and family-based matters, including asylum, deportation defense, family petitions, and advocacy before international bodies. The role is non-client-facing and offers opportunities to develop legal research, case preparation, and administrative skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Interns work under a hybrid model, with at least one in-person day each week at the firm's Washington, D.C. office. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, with a flexible weekday schedule and approximately 15–20 hours per week (also described as approximately 20 hours per week). Compensation is $18.50 per hour. Transportation costs for Metro or parking are covered, and team lunches and direct mentorship from experienced attorneys and paralegals are provided.
