About The Position

Alma is seeking a creative and analytical immigration attorney to join their team. This role will focus on the intersection of sales, strategy, and content, acting as the legal engine for the sales process. The attorney will be responsible for developing clear eligibility strategies from intake facts and transforming recurring patterns into content, tools, and scalable systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about employment-based immigration law, comfortable with AI tools, and eager to contribute to improving the legal system.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience practicing U.S. employment-based immigration law.
  • Experience across a broad range of employment-based visa categories, including O-1A/B, EB-1A/B, H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, PERM, and related pathways.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to explain complex immigration concepts clearly, practically, and accessibly.
  • Comfortable educating people and building trust through thoughtful, authentic communication.
  • Comfortable speaking publicly through videos, webinars, podcasts, and community events.
  • Strong legal judgment, with the ability to distinguish between general educational guidance and fact-specific legal advice.
  • Comfortable using modern technology and understanding its potential to enhance attorney effectiveness and reach.
  • Analytical and creative thinking skills, with the ability to identify patterns across cases and translate them into educational content.
  • Enjoy collaborating across Legal, Growth, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Proactive and eager to shape the delivery of immigration knowledge at scale.
  • Hold a J.D. or LL.B. (or equivalent law degree) and be eligible to practice law in your jurisdiction.
  • Experience advising on U.S. immigration law is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal partner to the Marketing team, influencing Alma's voice in community engagement, public education, and immigration content.
  • Translate legal expertise into clear, accurate, and practical guidance for social media, online communities, educational resources, and customer-facing materials.
  • Develop scalable systems and resources to enable Alma to share trusted immigration knowledge broadly.
  • Review and personalize responses for social media and online communities, ensuring legal accuracy and an authentic voice.
  • Participate in online community discussions, AMAs, webinars, and other educational initiatives to establish Alma as a trusted voice in employment-based immigration.
  • Identify recurring immigration questions and develop content to address them proactively.
  • Write scripts and appear in educational videos, webinars, podcasts, and other public-facing content.
  • Review immigration content for legal accuracy, clarity, and practical usefulness across various platforms (website, guides, blog, newsletters, etc.).
  • Write and edit immigration guides, website copy, FAQs, evidence lists, internal playbooks, templates, and workflows.
  • Publish attorney-backed breakdowns of USCIS announcements, regulatory changes, policy updates, and emerging immigration trends.
  • Help build and maintain Alma's immigration knowledge base, ensuring content accuracy and currency.
  • Provide legal review for new initiatives, educational materials, customer-facing resources, and marketing content.
  • Partner with Growth, Product, and Legal teams to transform common client questions into scalable educational content.
