About The Position

Blumental Arts seeks a dynamic team of Immersive Specialists to support Blume Studios’ immersive experiences by providing exceptional guest service and ensuring visitors have a smooth, memorable, and safe interaction with VR exhibitions. As a key part of the Blume Studios team, Immersive Specialists lead guests through the exhibition, from onboarding to completion of the immersive experience. This includes assisting with VR onboarding, guest flow, and attending to guest needs throughout the visit. This temporary, part-time position is expected to run from early November through late May and averages 20-30 hours per week. Anticipated operating hours are Wednesday through Friday, 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. (split into morning and evening shifts). Ideal candidates are available for at least three shifts per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required, supported by at least 1 year of experience in guest services, hospitality, entertainment, retail, customer service, or related field, or a combination of knowledge, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
Basic technical aptitude and ability to learn exhibit systems and operational procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, and equipment issues.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership.
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting technology-driven guest experiences is preferred.
Experience in immersive, interactive, or experiential environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate immersive exhibitions and experiences in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
Welcome and assist guests as they move through the exhibition experience.
Provide clear instructions, orientation, and guidance to guests before and during the experience.
Answer guest questions regarding exhibit content, procedures, accessibility, and operational policies.
Monitor exhibit spaces to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and engaging guest experience.
Assist guests who require additional support or accommodations during the experience.
Perform basic troubleshooting of immersive technologies, software, hardware, and exhibit equipment.
Quickly identify technical, operational, or guest-related issues and resolve or escalate them as appropriate.
Assist with exhibit resets, equipment staging, and operational readiness between guest sessions.
Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and operational issues to the Immersive Lead.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout exhibition spaces.
Follow all established operating, safety, and emergency procedures.
Assist with evacuations and emergency response efforts as directed by leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
