Imaging Technologist - Per Diem
About The Position
The Imaging Technologist provides quality diagnostic images, comfort, and care for patients and employees at KVH. The role includes reviewing radiologic requests for appropriateness, verifying physician orders, and performing procedures safely, caringly, and in a timely manner. The technologist consistently produces quality images for radiologists to interpret and report to requesting physicians, contributes input to continuously improve department operations and procedures, and maintains professional expertise through ongoing growth and development. The work requires in-depth knowledge of human growth, anatomy and physiology, anatomical positioning, normal and abnormal pathology, physiological responses, disabilities, and manifestations of disease and trauma.
Requirements
- Graduation from a Radiology education program under the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist, or eligibility for registration with successful completion of certification within six months of hire.
- Current Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- Current American Heart Association BLS.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Registered Orthopedic Technologist (ROT) credential from The American Society of Orthopedic Professionals.
- ARRT Bone Density (BD) endorsement.
