Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiologist, the Imaging Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This role involves independent judgment and initiative in applying ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The technologist operates CT/X-Ray equipment to produce quality images with the lowest possible radiation dose, utilizing PACS, implementing patient charges, and assisting physicians as needed. Responsibilities include knowledge of all CT/Radiology procedures, proper patient positioning, exposures, and documentation.
