About The Position

Shared Imaging is a privately held organization committed to organic growth, having doubled its revenue in the past 10 years and dedicated to utilizing the best technology to support its clients. The company prides itself on its "White Glove" service model, delivering the best possible patient experience. Shared Imaging is currently seeking a PRN Imaging Technologist Aide for its mobile unit in Roanoke, VA. The work schedule is PRN, as needed, for 8-hour shift coverage Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirements. The site is the Carilion Medical Building located at 2001 Crystal Spring Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24014.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
CPR/BLS Certification (via American Heart Association) required

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology understanding preferred
Patient care experience strongly preferred
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
Hard working, detail-oriented, and committed to outstanding patient care
Team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Greeting and directing patients
Confirming and registering patients
Verifying all necessary information is available for the test
Ability to walk to and from hospital and trailer as needed
Assist patients in and out of the trailer
Ability to push wheelchairs, gurneys and stretchers
Assist technologist with positioning patient and assisting them on and off the scanning table
Assist in setting up MRI scanning rooms
Stocking and maintaining patient dressing rooms, scan rooms and control areas
Ordering supplies
Other responsibilities as directed
