About The Position

Legacy Health is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist for Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Northwest Portland. The position performs clerical, computer information systems, and support functions, including processing and managing related data. It provides support across imaging departments and may include patient transportation and technical or patient-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Communication, customer service, and reception skills.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Filing skills.
• BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required for those assigned patient care duties.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in radiology and/or a related medical field.
• Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical, computer information systems, and support functions, including processing and managing related data.
• Assist with outpatient admissions and order entry.
• Schedule and coordinate exams.
• Import and export medical images into PACS.
• Perform document scanning and film file room operations.
• Communicate results by phone or fax and provide general customer service.
• Provide general clerical support across imaging departments.
• May assist with patient transportation and provide technical or patient-related support duties as assigned.
