Imaging Services Assistant
About The Position
This role is within the Computerized Tomography (CT) department at Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Imaging Services Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting technologists and ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include explaining procedures, providing educational materials, safely transporting patients, and assisting with patient preparation and image capture. The position also involves adherence to radiation safety protocols, performing receptionist duties, managing patient records, and maintaining inventory. Additionally, the assistant will handle patient discharge, room cleanup, and supply restocking.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities
- Explain procedures, provide educational materials, and safely transport patients while verifying identity.
- Assist technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and capturing quality radiologic images.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to prevent unnecessary exposure.
- Perform receptionist duties, manage patient reports and charts, and assist with inventory control.
- Handle patient discharge, room cleanup, and supply restocking.
